Published in Open Forum Infectious Diseases, the review highlights how industrial animal-people operations drive global greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. Overuse of antibiotics in animal-people livestock further fuels global antimicrobial resistance, posing a major public health challenge. Anti-aging research reveals that beans are the number one food linked to long and healthy lives in the world’s Blue Zones, areas with the highest number of 100+ year olds, including Okinawa [Japan], Sardinia [Italy], and Loma Linda [California, US]. Beans, such as black beans or lentils, are rich sources of complex carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, which help stabilize blood sugar, nourish gut bacteria, and reduce inflammation without the harmful inflammatory compounds found in animal protein. Studies suggest that the simple habit of eating one cooked cup of beans daily may help add up to four years to one’s lifespan, indicating that one secret to longevity lies in eating wholesome vegan meals (VietNamNet)

British artist Kev Milsom shares how he died from an infection, met his twin soul on the other side, and came back healed.
In 2018, at age 55, Kev was hospitalized with severe sepsis; an aggressive infection had reached the bone in his right foot and was moving rapidly up his leg. Doctors informed Kev that he was scheduled for an immediate amputation of his right leg to save his life. The night before the surgery, Kev’s heart began to fail, and as he reached for the call button, he lost consciousness.
Kev described the transition as instant, traveling “feet first” down a tunnel at very high speed similar to a motorway or freeway tunnel with reflective markers.
He emerged into a room that was “beyond white,” with walls, floors, and ceiling that were gleaming and shimmering. Kev did not initially realize he had died.
The first people Kev encountered were his mother and stepfather, who had been deceased for 9 and 14 years, respectively. Kev’s mother, who had suffered from dementia and was unable to walk or talk before she died, was now fully coherent and physically restored; she “practically ran” toward him. She spoke rapidly and enthusiastically about the spiritual realm, praising the flowers and animals. A group of about 10 or 12 people stood behind his mother and stepfather, who Kev felt were his spirit team or group soul collective.
Kev then underwent a sudden, internal life review or self-evaluation. He felt deep emotional regret that he had been afraid and lacked the confidence to pursue his life’s creative goals, such as writing and music. His mother directed him to a gentleman who emerged from a hidden door in the wall. Though not religious, Kev physically described the figure as similar to Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian), dressed in a white robe that shimmered with color. Kev instantly felt an overwhelming sense of peace.
The figure communicated with Kev through telepathy, asking, “What do you want to do about all this?” Kev expressed his regret and desire to return to Earth to complete his creative work, listing all the projects he still wanted to work on. The figure, who Kev later felt was his “twin soul” due to their deep connection and mutual respect, simply said, “Well, if that’s what you’ll do, then go back and do it.” Kev immediately woke up in his hospital bed; about 10 to 15 minutes had passed.
After returning, Kev was still very ill. While waiting for the morning surgery, he felt a powerful wave of love and energy surround him, describing it as a “donut” shape around his middle. He realized this was the combined love and healing prayers of nearly a thousand people online who were praying for him. An internal voice clearly told him, “It’s going to be okay, you’re going to be alright.” All of Kev’s fear about the operation vanished.
At 9 AM, when the surgeons arrived to perform the amputation, they removed the bandages to find the area previously black with sepsis was as pink as a baby’s cheeks. All trace of the illness and poison had vanished. The surgeons had no medical explanation for the instantaneous cure, calling it a “miraculous” medical mystery. In addition, though doctors said Kev’s foot would require plastic surgery and take up to 11 years to heal, it healed completely by itself within one month.
Kev shares his experience to help people embrace a more positive, spiritual life. “If that helps somebody to lose fear of physical death or bereavement, or helps somebody to realize that there is something beyond our physical life, then I love it. It’s become my kind of life mantra.” (Tia Renee)
