Today, we’re excited to present “Pets” – a heartwarming 2025 documentary that celebrates the deep bond between animal-individuals and the people who care for them. Joyful and emotionally rich, the film blends archival footage, viral pet clips, and personal interviews with animal lovers, rescuers, and caretakers of all ages. Earlier, we met kids discovering responsibility through pet care, and Sterling Davis, whose life was transformed by the cat-folk he saved – and who saved him in return. This documentary highlights extraordinary stories of pet-people caregivers from around the world, weaving a heartfelt and compelling narrative that invites viewers to explore each unique journey more deeply.

After Travis and Adam adopt Blue, a spirited puppy from Puerto Rico, he brings new energy to their senior dog-person, Delilah, and a joyful spark to their home. In one especially touching moment, a boy born with a cleft palate bonds with a dog-person who shares the same condition. Through these everyday moments, “Pets” invites viewers to reflect on the deeper lessons our animal companions offer. At its heart, it’s a celebration of the animal-people we love – and a gentle, noble call to action, encouraging viewers to embrace the joy of adoption and the importance of animal-people rescue. One especially touching moment comes when Shizue reflects on our role as guardians – to show gratitude and gently see our pets off at the end of their lives. Even in its saddest scenes, “Pets” remains rooted in love.
