Q: There are many kinds of worldly blessings one may experience, but since I began my spiritual practice, what I value most is this: Through studying Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Teachings and practicing (the Quan Yin) meditation, I have found that even those who pursue science, can walk the correct path that leads toward the Truth of the Universe. What is the Universe? What is life? What is the nature of human beings? I originally pursued science believing that by deepening my research, I would one day discover the answers to fundamental questions about the Universe. But I eventually realized that science alone was not enough. For example, in recent years, large telescopes have been installed on the island of Hawaii, in hopes of discovering the edge of the Universe. With the aim of decoding the structure of proteins to unlock the secrets of life itself, huge sums of money are being invested to build massive research facilities in Yokohama. However, modern cutting-edge science may be looking in the wrong direction when it comes to these fundamental questions. In a lecture held last year in Italy, Supreme Master Ching Hai responded to a question by saying that the essence of life is not matter, such as proteins, but energy. The answer to such a fundamental question of the Universe can be found in ancient scriptures, or through the personal meditative experiences of practitioners. It’s a great surprise and delight for me. For this, I am sincerely grateful to Master. Japan has long been at the forefront of the world, both economically and technologically, serving as a driving force of material civilization. However, the 21st century must mark the dawn of an era of spiritual civilization. It is time to shift from material civilization to a spiritual civilization. In order to accelerate the evolution of our planet, I sincerely hope that more and more people will embark on the spiritual path through the Quan Yin Method. I sincerely appreciate your attention.
