May I remind you, monks, that you shouldn’t gossip. That’s one of your precepts. You don’t tell things that are not true, just to put somebody else down, like you did to me. Even if you want to gossip, you have to do research whether or not all this gossip is true. Telling lies deliberately is even worse. They will cut your tongue in hell, you know that. […] And when you did not even check how truthful it is or how fake it was. You see that? So I hope that from today, by my reminding, you will not do it again, because that is very bad for you, very, very bad for you. You take the karma of those people. And you know I have such huge, such great karma with me because of the whole world’s karma. […] But that also brings bad luck to your country, Âu Lạc (Vietnam). Got that? Anything bad will be bad for you and bad for your relatives, your friends, your family, your country. Anyone would feel sorry for her – such a great fall like that, from the height of being a human to enduring being a vulnerable fox-person in the forest. That is that. First, I didn’t think of anything, but after resting for a while, I thought I might as well tell you this story. Everyone knows that. Everyone in Heaven knows that. But not all humans know that. That is a very pitiful situation for humans. […]
